I help people protect their families through estate planning. No one likes to think about their own death or incapacity, but it’s worse to think about what consequences your family will experience without the proper planning.
I moved on from my career as a prosecutor and eventually, moved into general practice including civil litigation. General Practice includes a wide variety of cases including estate planning. Civil litigation covers a wide range of cases, but I primarily represented clients in business litigation, estate litigation, divorces, child custody, partnership disputes, and various other cases. I now focus exclusively on helping clients with estate planning.
I have attempted to help my clients throughout my entire legal career, but elder law and estate planning allow me to know that I am truly helping people. My clients can take comfort in knowing that my experience and compassion will serve them well. I take pride in helping clients know their options and make the best decision based on their circumstances.
My wife, Melanie, is also my law partner and our firm is a family affair. We have teeangers at home. During our time not in the office, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our children and attending their activities.
I am a member of National Association of Elder Law Attorneys as well as the Elder Law Section and the Estate Planning Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
